Arsenal mourn as legendary midfielder Kallstrom retires

Arsenal are definitely maybe but probably not considering requesting that December 15 be named an international holiday in honour of the retiring Kim Kallstrom. Kallstrom announced his retirement from football at a press conference in Stockholm on Friday. The midfielder started his career in 1999 with BK Häcken, spending five years in Sweden before joining Rennes in 2004. His most successful spell came with Lyon from 2006 to 2012, where he won two Ligue Un titles. He has also played in Russia and Switzerland before one final spell with Djurgårdens IF, but the most memorable months of his career came at Arsenal.
