Arsenal reassures fans contract talks will be a piece of cake

Arsenal midfielder Mikel Arteta has revealed his future with the North London club will be sorted out in May after insisting talks over a new deal will take ‘five minutes’. The Gunners captain – who is currently out of the side due to an ankle injury – will be out of contract at the Emirates Stadium outfit at the end of the season. Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger admitted on Thursday he wanted Arteta to put pen to paper on a new deal and stay at the club for another season at least, and the 33-year-old has now said that talks about his future will commence soon – although he is focused on regaining full fitness first.
