GETTY Jamie Carragher has been suspended by Sky for the rest of the season The former England and Liverpool player had been captured on video spitting from his car at another vehicle after being taunted by a Manchester United fan. There was no excuse for Carragher’s revolting behaviour, and he offered none in the days afterwards of genuine remorse and self-disgust. Maybe he will return to his job in the autumn, allowed a chance of redemption. Maybe he won’t. Maybe the break will send him instead into the world of football management, where his razor-sharp tactical insight and robust nature might prove inspirational in dressing rooms.
