‘I can certainly see that’ … Ex-England boss thinks he’s found Wenger’s replacement at Arsenal

Former England manager Steve McClaren has suggested that Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe could succeed Arsene Wenger at Arsenal. Last season was dominated by speculation over Wenger’s future with many supporters calling for the board to part ways with the experienced coach. In the end, though, the Frenchman signed a new two-year deal, but less than one year into the new contract and rumblings of discontent are emerging again. As it stands, Wenger’s position seems safe but if the club fail to qualify for the Champions League for a second year in a row, then questions will arise.
