Arsenal are right on course for a David Moyes-style Wenger succession appointment

Mikel Arteta is the man that Ivan Gazidis, the Arsenal chief executive, wants to replace Arsene Wenger, according to  Sky Sports.  The Spaniard is a former Arsenal captain and is currently Manchester City assistant manager, but has never held a top job himself and that lack of experience could see him be as out of his depth as David Moyes was as Sir Alex Ferguson's successor.
