Opinion: £19.3m deal would spell the end of 29-year-old's Arsenal career

Arsenal have agreed a fee with Bayer Leverkusen over the transfer of German international goalkeeper Bernd Leno, according to the BBC.  What's the latest, then? The BBC claim that the amount agreed between the two clubs is £19.3m (22m euros) as Unai Emery looks to bolster his goalkeeping options ahead of his maiden season in charge at the Emirates Stadium. They also state that the stopper, who has six caps for the world champions, is yet to undergo a medical, despite being free from World Cup commitments this summer after failing to make Joachim Low's party.
