Mesut Ozil was an unused substitute as Germany recorded a dramatic 2-1 win over Sweden in Group F. Janne Andersson’s Sweden took the lead in the 32nd minute, when Ola Toivonen raced through on goal and delivered a deft chip over the onrushing Manuel Neuer. But just two minutes into the second half, Germany had levelled the score through Marco Reus, who made no mistake in firing home from close range.
