MARTINELLI PROMISE Gabriel Martinelli is the most recent addition to our squad and he took his first opportunity to shine. Lively from the off, the Brazilian fired an early shot wide and regularly pulled defenders this way and that with his footwork. He almost scored in the first half - a low sidefoot rolling just wide - but he did score with his next chance. It came from a Dominic Thompson cross and was finished inventively, Martinelli sticking out a shoulder to divert the ball into the net.
