Premier League players are missing the point.
Real Madrid are the latest big club to announce that their players and coaches have agreed to take pay cuts. The cut varies between 10 and 20% which might not sound a lot but 10-20% of a massive wage bill like theirs must be is a whole lot of money. This cut will go on until La Liga starts up again. The rationale behind this move is to reduce the 'traumatic measures that affect the rest of the workers'.
