Premier League coronavirus study shows how just how low risk Project Restart is
Premier League players will come into contact with others for an average of 39 seconds per match. Research conducted by the league suggests that the risk of passing on or catching the virus during matches is extremely low thanks to the short time on which they will be in close quarters with others. Plans to get matches back underway were revealed on Thursday in what has been labeled as Project Restart, with two games on June 17 followed by a full set of fixtures between June 19 and 21. There are 92 matches still to play and so far 12 people have tested positive for the virus from 2,752 tests, which is a low number but also shows that training is not without risk.
