Jose Mourinho’s prediction on how Nicolas Pepe would get on at Arsenal has been proved correct. Arsenal splashed out £72m on Pepe last summer, signing the flying Ivorian winger from Lille. Much was expected from Pepe, though he struggled to live up to expectations after arriving following 22 goals in 38 Ligue 1 appearances. In his first 12 Premier League outings, the Ivory Coast international scored just one goal and registered two assists. He improved when football resumed following the lockdown though Gunners fans are still to see the best of Pepe.
