Arsenal youngster Marcelo Flores is on the verge of signing a five-year professional contract at the Emirates, according to his father Ruben. Reports coming out of Mexico suggest Flores, 17, was recently invited to train with the Gunners’ first team. It was the first time he has been called up to the senior squad since joining their academy from Ipswich last summer, having attracted attention from a number of clubs in England.
