Arsenal outcast Mesut Ozil may be struggling on the pitch due to his personal circumstances off it, according to Gunners academy boss Per Mertesacker. Mikel Arteta decided to oust the playmaker from his plans, axing Ozil from the north London side's Premier League and Europa League squads. The former Real Madrid man now looks set to his Arsenal spell with a whimper, as the club try and negotiate a deal with the player to end his contract.
