Mesut Ozil's four options for next step available to him after Arsenal axe

Arsenal’s omission of Mesut Ozil from their 25-man squad for the 2020/21 Premier League season all but made official what we already knew - the German playmaker is as good as finished at the north London club. Ozil has not played a minute of competitive football since before lockdown, with Mikel Arteta exiling the 32-year-old from the first team. The player himself insisted in a statement made on Wednesday that he will continue to train the hope of being given another chance, but redemption seems a long way off.
