St Etienne prepared to welcome back William Saliba to end Arsenal misery

St Etienne captain Mathieu Debuchy has insisted that William Saliba 'will be welcome' if the defender returns to the club after being unable to break in the Arsenal first team. Saliba was expected to feature for the Gunners this season after he was signed for £27m in 2019 and loaned back to St Etienne. However, the youngster is yet to make his senior debut and has instead featured for the under-23s. St Etienne did attempt to bring him back on another loan deal late on in the summer transfer window but the move failed to materialise before the deadline.
