Mikel Arteta slammed ‘inhumane’ for not subbing David Luiz after horror injury

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has been slammed for not substituting David Luiz after he was involved in a clash of heads that left him bleeding during Sunday’s defeat to Wolves. Luiz suffered the blow just five minutes into the 2-1 loss as he went up for a header for Raul Jimenez. The pair received treatment on the pitch after clashing for over 10 minutes, and Jimenez was immediately rushed to hospital. Meanwhile, Luiz was bandaged up by the medical staff and sent back out, with Arteta claiming he had passed the tests to allow him to carry on.
