Arsenal told Odegaard will "want assurances" before making loan move permanent

Martin Odegaard has largely impressed during his time on loan at Arsenal from Real Madrid and the Norwegian international has been linked with making the move permanent this summer. However, Gunners legend Nigel Winterburn has warned that Arsenal's chances of signing the 22-year-old are contingent on the future of manager Mikel Arteta. Odegaard has been regular game time by Arteta, something he was not afforded at Madrid, and Winterburn believes the playmaker 'wouldn't want to sign for a different manager'.
