Ex-Chelsea coach surprised by Arsenal's imminent Petr Cech deal

Former Chelsea assistant manager Ray Wilkins has revealed that he's surprised Chelsea have allowed Petr Cech to join us with a move close to being concluded, Sky Sports reports. A fee with Chelsea has been agreed while personal terms with Cech have also been ironed out (via Sky Sports), and Wilkins thought his old club would do more to move the 33-year-old abroad. Given that we finished 12 points behind the Blues last season, Cech could potentially become the difference if we're to close that gap next term.
