Ralf Rangnick has not prepared Man Utd for Arsenal - but will watch from directors box

Michael Carrick insists new boss Ralf Rangnick has had no input in preparing Manchester United for Thursday's crunch showdown with Arsenal. Rangnick has arrived in Manchester from Moscow ahead of starting his role as interim manager until the end of the season. The German coach has been isolating while awaiting results of a Covid test and cannot start the job until securing a work visa, having spent time as manager of sports and development at Lokomotiv Moscow. He is expected to sit in the directors box to oversee United's game with the Gunners, having visited the ground on Wednesday afternoon for a tour of his own.
