Benzema facing uncertain future at Real

Benzema started 29 of Real's 38 games in La Liga last season as part of the 4-3-3 formation favoured by Carlo Ancelotti, but Benitez is planning to switch to a 4-2-3-1 with Ronaldo as the focal point, according to AS. That would see Benzema relegated to back-up, something he is unlikely to be keen on leading up to Euro 2016, and could leave Real open to offers for the 27-year-old. Benzema finished last season with 15 goals and 10 assists, totals which were dwarfed by Ronaldo's tallies of 48 goals and 16 assists - and totals which have seemingly left Benitez's unconvinced by the Frenchman.
