Wenger Insists Arsenal Weren't Close To Sigining Chelsea Star Eden Hazard

It has been reported that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger admits they weren't close to signing Chelsea star Eden Hazard. The French tactician said he was in for Hazard when he moved from Lille to Chelsea in 2012, but that he was never really close to getting his man. He said: 'How close were we to signing Eden Hazard? A few millions! 'He's pushing the top two in the world. 'It's all about opinions and after that you look at the numbers and Messi and Ronaldo score 50 goals a season.'
