Report: Edinson Cavani, Arsenal deal not dead

Arsenal reportedly still have a "tiny glimmer of hope" when it comes to securing a deadline day deal for Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani. Speculation is rife that manager Arsene Wenger flew to Paris this morning to tie up a deal for the Uruguay hitman, and his teammate midfielder Adrien Rabiot. Negotiations over both switches are thought to have broken down, with the Gunners refusing to meet les Parisiens' £50m valuation of Cavani. However, Wenger is still keen on the former Napoli marksman and will do his utmost to seal a deal in the final three hours of the window, according to the Daily Mail.
