Arsenal legend backs Gunners boss over failure to sign outfield player

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has defended Arsene Wenger over the manager’s decision to not sign an outfield player in the summer transfer window, according to reports from the Mirror. The Gunners only had one big arrival in former Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech, meaning that Wenger has not brought in a single outfield player over the last three months. And they were the only club in the top five leagues in Europe to do so, yet Henry is uncertain whether the likes of Real Madrid hitman Karim Benzema or Paris Saint-Germain’s Edinson Cavani would want to come to England in the first place.
