Sol Campbell: 'Arsenal can't compete with big spenders'

Former Arsenal defender Sol Campbell has claimed that the club cannot "compete" with the likes of Manchester United and Manchester City in terms of their spending power. Arsene Wenger's only recruit this summer was goalkeeper Petr Cech from Chelsea, while United and City spent more than £100m each on new arrivals. United's spending included the signings of Bastian Schweinsteiger and teenager Anthony Martial, who they bought for £36m from Monaco on deadline day. City, who have won the Premier League twice in the last four years, added numerous talent, including Raheem Sterling, Nicolas Otamendi and Kevin de Bruyne.
