Former Arsenal midfielder Abou Diaby left out of Marseille’s Europa League squad

Former Arsenal midfielder Abou Diaby has been omitted from Marseille's Europa League squad. The Frenchman joined the Ligue 1 side this summer after his contract expired at the Emirates. The 29-year-old was tipped for big things by Arsene Wenger but injuries plagued his development and limited his opportunities. Marseille's medical staff recently praised the player for his training as he eyes a return to competitive action. But it appears that the French club still have fears regarding Diaby after leaving him out of their Europa League squad. Should Marseille qualify for the knockout rounds then the midfielder can be added to the squad.
