Manager News: Rodgers axing today, Jose tells Chelsea owner to sack him, Wenger retirement

GETTY UNDER PRESSURE: Jose Mourinho and Brendan Rodgers Sunderland will announce Dick Advocaat has quit as boss within hours. Advocaat told the club he was resigning before the 2-2 draw with West Ham. And now Black Cats owner Ellis Short is set to go British after three successive foreign owners. Nigel Pearson and Sean Dyche are the favourites to get the job. Dyche, 44, was set to get the gig in the summer until Advocaat did a late U-turn to stay at the Stadium of Light. Sunderland, though, are also considering other candidates, including former Leicester boss Pearson, 52.
