Arsenal Lining Up January Bid For Dynamo Moscow Striker Aleksandr Kokorin

It has been reported that Dynamo Moscow striker Aleksandr Kokorin is a January target for Arsenal. The Daily Mail says Gunners manager Arsene Wenger has his eye on a new forward when the transfer market re-opens in January. Kokorin is an option for Wenger; the Gunners tried to sign the Russia international on transfer deadline day. Wenger is open to strengthening his squad at the turn of the year; particularly if his side look to have a realistic chance of mounting a serious title challenge. Theo Walcott and Olivier Giroud are Wenger's two striking options as it stands; though the injured Danny Welbeck can also occupy the lone centre-forward role.
