Arsenal plot second 50m bid for Man United striker target in January

Arsene Wenger is set to launch a 50m (£35m) bid for Inter Milan forward Mauro Icardi in January, with the Frenchman determined to land the Argentine star despite having a £32m bid already turned down, as reported by The Sun. The 22-year-old has been excellent for Inter, and is one of most promising forwards in the game at the moment. We are badly in need of attacking reinforcements after another quiet summer in the transfer market, and Icardi could be just what we need. We currently have Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott as options up front, with Alexis Sanchez also able to play there in a pinch, but another striker is high on our list of priorities.
