Over the years Arsenal haven’t exactly splashed the cash with manager Arsene Wenger growing a reputation as a man who doesn’t like to spend. That of course has changed recently with the arrival of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil for a combined total of £72.5million, but it still hasn’t stopped the Gunner’s gaffer having to respond to criticism (via Daily Mail). During his press conference following the Dinamo Zagreb tie which saw them run out 3-0 winners, Wenger responded, “It’s you, the press, who give me that reputation, but my friends don’t think that.” But does this mean Arsenal will be ready to splash the cash again in January to further their title chances?
