Arsenal boss ready to react to injury blows with January moves

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has admitted that he will look to sign players this January after losing a host of first-team regulars to injury. The latest Gunners star to drop to the sidelines for a lengthy period of time is defensive midfielder Francis Coquelin – who is not expected to be back in action for three months – while Theo Walcott, Danny Welbeck and Jack Wilshere remain out of action. Arsenal’s lack of summer activity – Petr Cech was the only major addition – is partly to blame for the current lack of options in north London, and fans of the club have been calling for top quality players to be signed in just over a month’s time when the window re-opens.
