Wenger Denies Issues With Wilshere's Injury

It has been reported that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has dismissed reports of a setback in Jack Wilshere's recovery from a fractured fibula and revealed he held talks with England manager Roy Hodgson to encourage him over the midfielder's progress. The 24-year-old has not featured for the Gunners this season after suffering the latest in a catalogue of serious injuries during training on the eve of Augusts Community Shield clash against Chelsea. Wilshere underwent surgery in September and speculation grew last week that his rehabilitation was no longer on track but Wenger said this morning: 'That is the wrong information.
