Wenger: TV deal doesn't mean ticket prices will fall

Arsene Wenger says transfer fees will rise in the wake of the new TV deal, meaning clubs cannot afford to reduce ticket prices for supporters. Premier League clubs are set to net £5.1billion over the next three years thanks to the sale of domestic TV rights, while international agreements could take that figure towards £8billion. Supporters bodies have called on clubs to use that windfall to lower ticket prices for match-going fans, with Arsenal criticised after it emerged their priciest matchday ticket and season ticket were the most expensive in the league.
