Wenger: Contract extension story is ‘absolutely false'

Arsene Wenger says reports that he has been offered a new contract are completely false. The Times reported yesterday that Stan Kroenke is willing to give the Frenchman a new two-year contract on the proviso the 66-year-old pledges his future to the club before October. Wenger, who joined the club nearly 20-years ago, is out of contract at the end of next season and says he's completely committed to seeing out his current deal. Speaking on Friday ahead of Arsenal's final league game of the season against Aston Villa, the boss reacted angrily to the latest media rumour-mongering.
