Under-19s suffer defeat in Durban opener

 Arsenal Under-19s began their defence of the Durban International Football Tournament title with a 2-1 defeat against South African side KZN Academy XI. Stephy Mavididi opened the scoring with a fine finish following Reiss Nelson’s teasing cross into the box, before Hugo Keto denied Romario Morris an equaliser from the spot with a fine double save. The Gunners continued to attack in the second half, but Sphephelo Sithole levelled the scores late on before Sibusiso Magaqa added a second soon after to condemn the Gunners to defeat in Group A.
