Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain may have forced him way back into Arsenal's XI

In a totally reshuffled Arsenal side full of hopefuls, youngsters and fringe players, one senior player stood out from the more raw talents. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain scored twice and put in another good performance for the Gunners from wide positions. The Englishman was effective even as Arsenal struggled to overcome a second string Reading team, and couldn't have done more to show Arsene Wenger that he's ready for another shot at a start in the Premier League. This followed a good showing off the bench at the weekend, where Oxlade-Chamberlain threatened more in his 15 minute cameo than some teammates did in the full game.
