Welbeck returns to Arsenal with knee tweak

Danny Welbeck will miss England's friendly with Italy after picking up a knee injury during his man of the match performance against Lithuania. The Arsenal striker set up Wayne Rooney for the Three Lions opener and then bagged the second with his head as Roy Hodgson's men maintained their 100 per cent record in Euro 2016 qualifying. It's not thought that Welbeck's problem is serious, but he – like Liverpool's Raheem Sterling and City's James Milner – has been given permission to leave the camp.
