Retired Tottenham flop set for shock NFL switch

According to reports this morning from the USA, former Tottenham star David Bentley will join the Philadelphia Eagles as a Kicker next season after a series of successful training sessions with the NFL franchise. The ex-England midfielder, who once moved to White Hart Lane for £15million, retired from football last summer at the age of just 29, citing how the sport had become too driven by social media and corporate sponsorship, leaving it 'predictable and a bit too calculated.'
