Premier League Transfers: England the worst for home shopping

GETTY Liverpool star Dominic Solanke didn't get many chances at Chelsea Back in January, a report by UEFA revealed that the Premier League had a higher percentage of foreign players than any other European league. The report showed that up to 69.2% of top-flight players were foreign – way ahead of Cyprus, the second-highest, with 57.1%. That’s a damning statistic for the English game but one that chimes with a study that shows how little interest there is in domestic talent at some top clubs.
