Chelsea are monitoring Olivier Giroud's situation as Arsenal chase a deal for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Sky Sports News understands.

With a deal for Roma's Edin Dzeko looking increasingly unlikely, the Blues are watching on with interest as their London rivals try to sign Aubameyang during continued talks with Borussia Dortmund.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has said he will only allow France striker Giroud to leave the Emirates if they sign a new striker before the transfer deadline.

Meanwhile, Aubameyang received a frosty reception from Borussia Dortmund fans as the club issued demands over any potential sale.

The 28-year-old striker made his first start for a month on Saturday and played for 90 minutes in Dortmund's 2-2 Bundesliga draw with Freiburg.

Speaking ahead of the game, Dortmund's sporting director Michael Zorc told Sky Germany: "We are prepared to implement a transfer under certain parameters, and only if these parameters are fully met.

"Arsenal have made several attempts so far [to sign Aubameyang] and they have all been rejected.

"Either our demands are fulfilled, then there can be another transfer, or they will not be fulfilled and Aubameyang will play in Dortmund until the summer."

Rob Holding could be on his way out of the Emirates this month as the Daily Mail reports that Burnley are keen to take the defender on loan should Arsenal land Jonny Evans.

Sean Dyche is said to be keen to improve his defensive options, with Holding starting just five Premier League games this season so far.
