Francis Coquelin reveals admiration for Nemanja Matic

Francis Coquelin reveals his admiration for Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic ahead of Arsenal's meeting with the Premier League leaders on Sunday.

Arsenal midfielder Francis Coquelin has revealed his admiration for Chelsea's Nemanja Matic ahead of Sunday's meeting between the two sides.

Coquelin, who spent time on loan at Charlton Athletic earlier in the season, claims that Matic is proof of how important the position is to their respective sides, and he admits that he is relishing the opportunity to take on the Serbian.

"What he's done is unbelievable. At Chelsea he is one of the main men so credit to him," the Frenchman told reporters.

"He's had a great season and is a great player. It's always good to play against players like that.

"It's an important position and Matic has shown how important he is - that's what I'm trying to do as well for Arsenal. The fans want a good defensive midfielder, they know it's important for the team."

The Gunners currently sit 10 points behind leaders Chelsea.
