Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech is reportedly in line to start against Tottenham Hotspur this weekend.

Arsenal have been handed a boost ahead of this weekend's derby clash with North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur following reports that goalkeeper Petr Cech is likely to be passed fit to start.

The veteran stopper was withdrawn during last Saturday's 5-1 win over Everton with a calf injury but, according to The Mirror, the problem is not a severe as first feared.

Cech, who was replaced by David Ospina during the victory over the Blues, is said to be confident of securing a place in the starting XI for the Spurs clash.

Defender Nacho Monreal was also withdrawn in the Everton match due to feeling unwell, but he is also said to be in line to start at Wembley Stadium.

Tottenham play host to Arsenal in this Saturday's lunchtime kickoff.
