Video Assistant Referee will be in use again at the Carabao Cup final and supporters will be informed when reviews are being made on Wembley's big screens.

The system was used in both semi-final matches between Arsenal and Chelsea, with the Gunners coming through that tie to secure a place in Sunday's final against Manchester City.

Neil Swarbrick will be the video assistant referee charged with advising Craig Pawson whether an incident needs to be looked at further.

But, after criticism at previous trials, a "VAR review" message will be displayed to supporters when such a review is occurring.

EFL chief executive Shaun Harvey told The Times: "This cup final will be the biggest game for VAR in England so far.

"If there is a notice on the big screen explaining why there is a delay to the game then we hope that will improve communication to fans inside the stadium and on television.

"If everybody in the stadium knows what is going on then that's part of the overall education of what VAR can achieve."
