Arsenal 'will not budge on Jack Wilshere contract offer'

A report claims that Arsenal will not return to the negotiating table with Jack Wilshere, meaning that the midfielder will almost certainly move on in the summer.

Jack Wilshere will reportedly leave Arsenal at the end of the season as the club have informed the midfielder that they have made their final take-it-or-leave-it offer.

The England international, now into the final weeks of his existing deal at the Emirates Stadium, was said to be holding out for better terms than those originally offered.

According to The Mirror, Arsenal do not plan on returning to the negotiating table and Wilshere will therefore make the decision to continue his playing career elsewhere, rather than take a 25% reduction in his £120,000-a-week wages.

New contracts chief Huss Fahmy is said to be behind the decision not to bow to the 26-year-old's demands, despite other clubs showing an interest.

Everton are seen as the favourites to land free agent Wilshere in the summer, while Juventus and AC Milan are also said to be watching developments.
