Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey 'on verge' of Bayern Munich switch

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey reportedly moves closer to agreeing a future switch to Bayern Munich.

Bayern Munich have reportedly emerged as favourites to complete the signing of Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey.

The Gunners have informed Ramsey that he will not be offered a new contract at the Emirates Stadium, leaving the Welshman free to leave the club in the summer.

A number of clubs in the Premier League - including Manchester United and Chelsea - have been linked with an approach for the playmaker, but according to The Independent, Ramsey is edging towards a switch to Bayern.

The report claims that the German giants feel that they are leading the race to secure a deal for Ramsey, who would be allowed to pen a pre-contract agreement as early as January.

Ramsey remains an important member of Unai Emery's squad this season, with nine starts and seven substitute appearances being made in all competitions.
