Bayern Munich winger Serge Gnabry says Arsenal's Mesut Ozil is the best player he has ever played with.
The 23-year-old spent five years at Arsenal between 2011 and 2016, making the first-team squad for the final two seasons alongside German compatriot Ozil, before leaving to sign for Werder Bremen.
Gnabry, who has also previously played for Hoffenheim and the Germany national team, says Ozil stands out among the great players he has the experience of playing with.
"I've already played with many good guys. But, if I have to highlight one, I take Mesut Ozil" he told Goal.
"The kind of quality I have seen in his training and in the games at that time was amazing."
Ozil missed a game for the 100th time in his Arsenal career when he was omitted from the squad that lost away at BATE Borisov on last Thursday.
He has started just three of Arsenal's last 12 games in all competitions, been an unused substitute against Chelsea and Manchester City and been omitted from their matchday squad on six occasions during that period.
