Report: Barcelona willing to pay £50m for Aaron Ramsey

Barcelona are willing to offer Arsenal £50m for Aaron Ramsey after watching the Welsh midfielder closely this season, according to reports.

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has emerged as a £50m target for Barcelona, according to reports.

Barcelona are currently under a transfer embargo which prevents them from signing in players in 2015, but they have still been linked with a number of high-profile names in recent months.

Xavi's departure in the summer will create space in the squad for a midfielder, and The Sun claims that the Spanish champions are ready to approach Arsenal with a tempting offer.

The report suggests that Barcelona scouts have already watched the 24-year-old 10 times this season, but it remains unclear whether FIFA will allow the club to enter the transfer market this summer.

Ramsey still has four years remaining on his current deal with Arsenal.
