Red Bull Salzburg boss expecting Dominik Szoboszlai exit amid Arsenal interest

Red Bull Salzburg manager Jesse Marsch admits that he is expecting Dominik Szoboszlai to leave the club in January amid speculation linking him with Arsenal.

Red Bull Salzburg manager Jesse Marsch has admitted that he expects in-demand Dominik Szoboszlai to leave the club during the January transfer window amid speculation of a move to Arenal.

The 20-year-old midfielder, who scored Hungary's winning goal against Iceland last week to take his country to Euro 2020, has established himself as one of the hottest prospects in Europe with one goal and five assists in seven league matches this season.

The likes of Arsenal, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich have all been credited with an interest in Szoboszlai, and Marsch believes that his prized asset is likely to follow in the footsteps of the likes of Erling Braut Haaland and Takumi Minamino, who moved to Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool respectively last January.

"Yes," Marsch admitted to the Futbol Podcast when asked whether the 20-year-old was likely to leave in January. "The reality is that a guy like Dominik Szoboszlai is likely to have many suitors this winter.

"He's an incredible talent, and I say this: When you coach young players, you have to love them and love the fact that they're going to move on and love that they're going to have big opportunities to prove themselves and show how good they are."

Szoboszlai has scored 22 goals and created 33 more in 74 appearances for Salzburg in total.
