Arsenal forward Alexandre Lacazette emerges as a target for Barcelona, according to a report.

Barcelona are reportedly interested in signing Arsenal forward Alexandre Lacazette.

The 30-year-old has scored twice and registered one assist in three appearances for the Gunners this season but has only played 31 minutes of Premier League football in 2021-22.

The Frenchman's current deal at the Emirates Stadium is due to expire next June, and a recent report claimed that he is unlikely to pen a new contract with Mikel Arteta's side.

Atletico Madrid continue to be strongly linked with Lacazette, who could be available to sign on a pre-contract in January.

However, according to Fichajes, there is also firm interest from Barcelona, with the Catalan outfit viewing him as a low-cost option amid their financial problems.

Lacazette has scored 67 goals and registered 29 assists in 173 appearances for Arsenal since arriving at the club from Lyon in July 2017.

Barcelona allowed Antoine Griezmann to re-join Atletico Madrid on loan before the end of the transfer window before Luuk de Jong arrived at Camp Nou on loan from Sevilla.
