Ten Hag's stance on Cristiano Ronaldo's future

Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag accepts he will need to prepare for life without Cristiano Ronaldo, according to reports.

Ronaldo has apparently made clear his desire to leave Old Trafford if an acceptable bid is made. The forward wants to continue playing in the Champions League.

Ten Hag had hoped to keep Ronaldo for the second year of the 37-year-old's contract. However, the Sun claim that the Dutchman now knows he needs to prepare for life without Ronaldo.

Chelsea squad 'excited' by Raheem Sterling transfer

Chelsea's squad are said to be 'excited' by the prospect of the Blues signing Raheem Sterling, according to reports.

Sterling has agreed personal terms ahead of a transfer from Manchester City, according to wide-ranging claims.

DONE DEAL! Leeds confirm Tyler Adams signing

Leeds have confirmed the signing of midfielder Tyler Adams from RB Leipzig.

Whites boss Jesse Marsch had earmarked the American as a replacement for Kalvin Phillips, who has joined Manchester City.

Adams has signed a five-year deal at Elland Road.

Chelsea monitoring Man Utd's Frenkie de Jong talks

Chelsea are keeping tabs on developments involving Frenkie de Jong's proposed transfer to Manchester United in the hope of a blockbuster hijack, according to reports.

The Blues are closing in on a move for Manchester City ace Raheem Sterling as part of a big-spending summer spree.

De Jong is widely expected to join United, but that move could be ruined by Chelsea if the West Londoners feel they have a chance of signing the midfielder.

The Guardian claims that Chelsea are monitoring the situation.

Liverpool wanted controversial Raheem Sterling return

Liverpool made moves to persuade Raheem Sterling to complete a controversial return to Anfield, reports claim.

Sterling is set to sign for Chelsea in a blockbuster move from Manchester City. The Blues have fought off competition from several clubs for his signature in a major coup for new chairman Todd Boehly.

According to the Mirror, Liverpool were on of those teams vying for Sterling. The now-27-year-old acrimoniously departed the Reds and joined Man City in 2015.

Sterling is still heavily booed by home supporters whenever he returns to Anfield.

Arsenal target Alex Grimaldo signing

Arsenal are reportedly targeting Benfica left-back Alex Grimaldo and could sign the former Barcelona ace for just £6.4m.

The Gunners are 'very attentive' to the idea of signing the 26-year-old, who could provide back-up to Kieran Tierney.

That is according to Portuguese newspaper Record

Nuno Tavares has been tipped to leave Arsenal just a year after arriving, so Mikel Arteta could do with another left-sided defender.

Raheem Sterling 'agrees' Chelsea transfer

Manchester United have made a fresh £51m bid for Ajax winger Antony, according to reports.

Erik ten Hag is keen to sign the talented 22-year-old but his former club are remaining firm in their stance that the player will only be sold for a premium fee.

According to Goal, United's new bid is almost £20m below Ajax's valuation.

The Red Devils' need for a new forward has become more important since Cristiano Ronaldo's desire to leave became clear.

Crystal Palace and West Ham in transfer battle

Crystal Palace and West Ham are in a battle to sign Swansea midfielder Flynn Downes, according to reports.

Downes is a long-term target for the Eagles but now face competition from West Ham.

According to The Athletic, Swansea want £9m for a player signed from Ipswich last summer. The fee could fund the return of Swans favourite Joe Allen.

Tyler Roberts having QPR medical

Leeds forward Tyler Roberts is having a medical at QPR ahead of a season-long loan switch.

Rangers will also have an option to buy the Wales international.

He featured 23 times in the Premier League last season, netting just once.

QPR have fought off several other Championship clubs to land the 23-year-old.

Chelsea close in on Sterling deal

Chelsea are now closing in on a £45m deal to sign Raheem Sterling, according to The Independent.

The Blues have been in dialogue with Manchester City for over a week now but it appears a deal is edging closer.

Sterling is expected to depart the Etihad this summer to pursue better playing opportunities and Thomas Tuchel wants to make him one of the new faces of his project.

Chelsea are also in talks with City over a deal for Nathan Ake...

Everton receive Gordon bid

Everton have now received a £35m bid from Newcastle for Anthony Gordon, according to journalist Pete O'Rourke.

The Toffees have fended off recent interest from Tottenham but now Newcastle are keen to make a play for the winger.

Frank Lampard does not want to lose Gordon after already offloading Richarlison though and Everton are expected to keep him at all costs.

Brighton striker loan exit close

Brighton are set to loan young striker Abdallah Sima to French side Angers, according to Sky Sports' Rob Dorsett.

The Senegal forward was snapped up last summer from Slavia Prague before he spent time on loan at Stoke City.

Injuries hampered his development though and Graham Potter is keen for him to receive regular playing time next term.

Sima is still in the Seagulls' long-term plans though and is expected to return to Brighton next summer with a view for pushing for first-team football.

Newcastle make move for Anthony Gordon

Newcastle have contacted Everton regarding a move for Anthony Gordon, according to Mike McGrath of The Telegraph.

He said: "Newcastle have been in contact with Everton over £35m deal for Anthony Gordon. Will be down to #EFC if they want to do business for the England Under-21 forward."

The Magpies have been exploring a move for Bayer Leverkusen's Moussa Diaby but he is valued at upwards of £60m.

Gordon could prove a cheaper alternative and he has also been tracked by Tottenham, who were keen to bring him to north London as part of a deal for Richarlison.

Tottenham have Spence medical plan

Spurs hope to welcome Djed Spence to Hotspur Way for a medical before the club fly off to South Korea on their pre-season tour.

Express Sport understands there is still no deal in place with Middlesbrough, who ideally want to net £15million plus £5m in add-ons when agreeing to sell the 21-year-old.

Nottingham Forest are now working on other wing-back targets including Neco Williams and Omar Richards.

Tottenham want to tie up moves for Clement Lenglet and Spence before the end of the week but there is still work to be done...

Forest confident about double deal

Nottingham Forest are hoping to wrap up the signings of two wing-backs by the weekend...

According to The Athletic, Neco Williams and Omar Richards are the two deals that are currently being worked on and both players are expected to move to the City Ground.

Meanwhile, Forest remain locked in talks with Bayern Munich over a deal for the former Reading man, who would slot in at left wing-back.

Fulham in Wolfsburg talks

Fulham are in negotiations with Fulham over deal to sign Wolfsburg right-back Kevin Mbabu.

The Swiss full-back is formerly of Newcastle and is also attracting interest from Nice.

Marco Silva's side are also eyeing Neco Williams from Liverpool following his impressive loan spell in west London.

However, Nottingham Forest are also keen on the Welshman after seen an opening offer rejected by Jurgen Klopp's side...

DONE DEAL! Southampton land Man City midfielder

Southampton have signed Romeo Lavia from Manchester City on a permanent deal for £12m, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Premier League champions have also secured a buy-back clause, worth around £40m.

The Saints are really starting to make waves in the market as they also close in on Joe Aribo from Rangers.

CR7 GONE? Ronaldo misses training... again

Cristiano Ronaldo will not be reporting for Manchester United training again on Wednesday, for the third successive day.

It poses serious doubts as to whether he will fly to the Far East and Australia for United's pre-season tour on Friday, as he continues to assess his future.

Ronaldo wants to win silverware and has been underwhelmed by the lack of business from United to date in the market.

He is currently in Portugal and has cited 'family reasons' to explain his absence...

Leeds make opening offer for De Ketelaere

Leeds have made their opening offer for Charles De Ketelaere, according to Belgian outlet HLN.

It's claimed the Whites' proposal could reach £30million with add-ons, a bid that would satisfy Club Brugge's valuation.

However, it's claimed De Ketelaere would instead prefer to join AC Milan in a major blow to Leeds.

AC Milan have only offered around £16m to date, meaning they will have to up their offer in order to win the race for the Belgian.

Stefano Pioli and Paolo Maldini are said to have held talks with the player and that has been key to his decision.

Leeds will have to work their charm if they are to win the race for the 21-year-old's services...

DEAL AGREED! Rangers close in on striker

Croatian forward Antonio Colak has left PAOK's pre-season camp in Netherlands after Rangers struck a deal with the Greek side.

According to Greek journalist Giannis Chorianopoulos, a £2.15m fee has been agreed between the clubs plus £430,000 in add-ons.

PAOK will also earn a 15 percent sell-on clause if Colak is to ever leave Rangers before the expiry of his contract.

The striker is now expected to arrive in Glasgow, where he will undergo a medical ahead of joining Giovanni van Bronckhorst's side.

Bayern discuss Joao Felix internally

Bayern Munich have discussed Joao Felix as a potential replacement for Robert Lewandowski, according to Bild.

The German outlet claims Bayern are cautious that there are not many top-quality striker options out there on the market, as the Pole continues to push to join Barcelona.

But Felix is one name that would be of interest, although he is expected to remain with Atletico Madrid next season.

Bayern have also held talks for Stuttgart forward Sasa Kalajdzic earlier in the window.

Man Utd in talks with Dybala agent

Manchester United are now in talks with the agent of Paulo Dybala following his release from Juventus.

The Argentina international is now a free agent after leaving Turin but he is yet to find a new club despite talks with Inter.

Now Gianluca Di Marzio is reporting that United have entered the running to sign Dybala after entering talks with his reps.

With Cristiano Ronaldo keen to depart Old Trafford, United are keen to explore their options in terms of attacking reinforcements...

Soumare in Leicester exit talks

Monaco are in talks to sign Boubakary Soumare on loan from Leicester, according to The Athletic.

The Frenchman has endured a difficult debut Premier League campaign at the King Power Stadium following his 2021 switch from Lille.

Now the Foxes are willing to entertain offers for the Frenchman, who is expected to depart before the start of the 2022/23 season.

Southampton to seal Joe Aribo deal

Southampton are closing in on the signing of Joe Aribo from Rangers.

The Nigerian international is set to move to St Mary's in a £6million switch from Glasgow.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano tweeted: "After Lavia, Southampton are also set to sign Joe Aribo. Been told deal is almost done for £6m plus add-ons to Rangers. No problem on player side, as was reported by @David_Ornstein. Incoming director Joe Shields, key for the move."

Chelsea plot Pavard swoop

Chelsea are looking at Bayern Munich's Benjamin Pavard as an alternative to Matthijs de Ligt, who could be headed from Juventus to Bayern.

The Mirror say 26-year-old Frenchman Pavard is being looked at as an alternative to Dutchman De Ligt regardless of the fact he is mainly a right-back.

Pavard cost £30million three years ago but it's not clear how much he would cost the Blues if they pursued a deal for him this summer, though he is an important player at Bayern and so surely would not come cheaply.

United confident of landing Martinez

Manchester United are 'confident' of signing Lisandro Martinez for a total package of £45million according to CBS Sports' Ben Jacobs, who claims United sources expect an agreement to be struck.

Jacobs stresses that it is an open race for the Argentine defender but that those with knowledge of United's dealings think Martinez will go to Old Trafford over Arsenal.

Arsenal sources apparently insists they are in the race for the versatile Ajax player and want him to join as a starter, though it is unclear whether they see him starting at left-back or as the left-sided centre-back, or even as a midfielder.

Tielemans to Arsenal

Youri Tielemans is ready to make the move to Arsenal if the Gunners submit a bid to Leicester for the midfielder.

That's the claim of CBS Sports' Ben Jacobs, who says the Belgian is sold on a move to the Emirates despite interest from Manchester United.

Arsenal have yet to firm up their interest in Tielemans, 25, with a bid but if they do so, he is ready to join up with Mikel Arteta's side having been in contact with the north London club for as long as a year.
