Aaron Ramsey: 'I want to play in Spain'

Aaron Ramsey admits to being "flattered" by Barcelona's reported interest but plans on staying with Arsenal.

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has admitted that he is "flattered" by Barcelona's reported interest, and conceded that playing in Spain is a possibility.

The Wales star has emerged as a key player for the Gunners in recent seasons and found himself linked with a switch to Camp Nou earlier this summer.

However, the 24-year-old, who helped Arsenal to back-to-back FA Cup titles in May, says that he remains committed to the cause in North London.

"Obviously it's very flattering," he told The Guardian. "They did the treble last year and it's just really nice to be linked with one of the best clubs in the world.

"One day I would like to go over to Spain to play just to see what it's like and to experience that.

"But at the moment I'm with Arsenal and I feel like this Arsenal team can go and be successful and challenge for things."

Ramsey, whose contract expires in 2018, has netted 23 times in all competitions since August 2013.
